Giant butterbur (sometimes referred to as "Hokkaido cabbage")

Giant butterbur has large round leaves and grows in patches. It commonly grows in northern Japan's Hokkaido region and in Russia's Sakhalin Oblast.

You might see it elsewhere, as it's an invasive species in Europe and North America.

Most of Australia is very, very flat. Western Australia has a few small mountain ranges, but they're not common on Street View. Eastern Australia is more undulating, especially the area between Brisbane and Melbourne.

Tasmania is mostly mountainous, with a flat central area.

Palm oil plantations

Oil palms are grown on large plantations. They can grow fairly tall, but ones on plantations are often short and stubby.

Most palm oil plantations are in Indonesia (58%) and Malaysia (25%).[1] Other countries, like Thailand and Ecuador, don't have as many, but it can still help with region guessing.

Indonesia's plantations mostly occur in Sumatra and Kalimantan.

Most of Malaysia's plantations are in Johor, Sarawak, and Sabah.

Sugarcane plantations

Sugarcane is a grassy-looking plant grown densely in large fields.

Brazil and India produce most of the world's sugarcane, but you can also find sugarcane plantations in many other countries, like Mexico, Columbia, Thailand, and Indonesia.[1]

In Brazil, most sugarcane plantations are in/around the state of São Paulo or along the east coast.

India grows sugarcane in the north, from Punjab to Bihar, and in much of the southern half.

The Andes mountains fill the southwest half of Bolivia, while the Amazon rain forest lies in the northeast region.

Most of Bolivia is fairly flat. You can see mountains and hills where the Andes transitions to lower elevations.

Paraná pine

The Paraná pine has long spindly branches that grow from near the top of the tree, with clumps of leaves at the tips that look like pom-poms.

This tree can be found in the southern Brazilian states of of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul.

The scientific name is Araucaria angustifolia.
